Welcome to St. Oliver’s

Wednesday, July 23rd, 8:00 p.m. :

Regrettably, Fr. Browne, SJ, must be away again on July 27th.

Despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to find a locum,

and so are forced to cancel Mass on Sunday.

Our apologies for any inconvenience.

We are the St. Oliver Plunkett Chapter (est. 1997) of Una Voce International, in St. John’s, Newfoundland (Canada).

We celebrate the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in the Extraordinary Form – the Tridentine Latin Mass – with the blessing of the Archbishop of St. John’s, Most. Rev. Martin Currie, according to the motu proprio of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, Summorum Pontificum.

You’re invited to join us at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday at St. Pius X Church to offer Adoration, Reparation, Thanksgiving and Petition to God, our Father, through the merits of His Son, Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ … under the watchful eyes of His Mother and ours, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and with the continuing intercession of our Patron, St. Oliver, Primate of All Ireland, last Martyr at Tyburn.

St. Pius X Church is at 16 Smithville Crescent, just off Elizabeth Avenue; please use the Chapel entrance. (Latin / English booklet Missals are provided.)

Map of location (will open in a separate window)

We wish to express here, on our front page, our gratitude to our celebrant, Fr. William Browne, S.J., for his sacrifices on our behalf.

This website is a new endeavour, using the WordPress platform, and is a work in progress. You may view the website of our earlier years (static HTML pages) here
